Sei Testnet Faucet FAQ

Select Sei and the Testnet network on this page, enter your wallet address or connect a wallet, then complete the verification to receive SEI on Sei Testnet. The base drip is free and requires no Quicknode account, no post on X and no minimum mainnet balance, so a brand new wallet can claim. Optional bonuses increase the amount but are never required.

You can claim SEI once every 12 hours per network, and the exact base amount for Sei Testnet is shown on the next step, once you have entered a wallet address. Sharing a post on X that contains your wallet address and this faucet URL doubles the drip, and Quicknode customers on a paid plan double it again, up to four times the base amount plus priority in the queue for faster delivery. The 12 hour cooldown is per wallet address per network, so you can still claim on a different network in the meantime.

Sei Testnet, known by its network name atlantic-2, is the test network for Sei, a layer 1 built for trading applications with parallel execution and fast finality. It uses test SEI as its gas token on EVM chain ID 1328. Sei removed its Cosmos SDK and CosmWasm environment during 2026, so it is now effectively EVM-only and standard Solidity contracts are the way to build.

Sei Testnet uses chain ID 1328, and you can view your transactions on Seistream. To add the network to MetaMask or another wallet, enter that chain ID together with an RPC URL and the explorer URL, or connect your wallet on this page and approve the network switch when prompted. For a dedicated endpoint without shared rate limits, create a free Sei RPC endpoint on Quicknode.

The most common cause is the 12 hour cooldown, which applies per wallet address per network, so a repeat request inside that window is rejected. Other frequent causes are a failed bot check, an address that is not a valid Sei address, having the wrong network selected, or the Sei Testnet faucet wallet running low on funds. Smart contract wallets and multisig addresses can also fail where a standard address succeeds. Make sure you are on atlantic-2 rather than arctic-1, which is the Sei devnet and a common mix-up. Addresses are standard EVM addresses, since the older bech32 address format has been retired. If it keeps failing, reach out on X or Discord.

Sei Testnet suits trading applications, order matching and anything sensitive to finality latency. Because it is EVM-only now, existing Solidity contracts and tooling work directly.
